Ahh thank you <3~! We actually sewed all our LED lights by hand and used an arduino "lilypad" controller to program them and make them chase ~ I have more in-depth construction notes up on my ACP page~! [link]

As in what pattern she used to make the skirt? She actually made the pattern herself from scratch! She's :icondaydreamernessa: on DA, she might be able to help you out more if you have specific questions about it <3

Thanks. I have an idea for a skirt and I kind of have to figure out how stiff I can make the skirt so it holds the shape that your friend had on hers. :)

I know we used the same interfacing stuff in both of our costumes, so if you're looking for something that has a looooot of rigidity to hold a gravity defying shape, I'd highly recommend it! We got it at Joann, this is what it looks like on the bolt: [link]

I believe I have a variant of that that is a sew-on interfacing, maybe one notch down that I was using out of paranoia of getting a droopy collar on a jacket. Wanted to make sure that collar stood straight up. Just have to figure out if this stuff is what I need to interface both the "shell" and the "liner" part on the underside/inside which is closest to my skin..
